The town of Virginia Beach is on the eastern shore of Virginia, just outside of Norfolk.
As if going to the beach was not enough to keep you busy, there are plenty of fun attractions to please both children and adults here.
Best Food Choices
The 3-mile beachfront boardwalk at Virginia Beach has plenty of interesting places to eat. (And lots of fun shopas, too.)
At the diner at the Belvedere Hotel, you can have your morning coffee with a gorgeous view of the ocean.
At the Jewish Mother Deli on Pacific Avenue, you can get a sandwich and a brew, and maybe catch a live music performance.
The Virginia Beach Seafood Market and Pub on Mediterranean Avenue has a small seafood market in the front with a bar and a couple of tables in the back. It’s a cozy little place with some of the best seafood in town.
For The Outdoor Adventurer
If you’re into nature, there are plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife in the area.
Whether it’s a whale watching tour, a bird walk at False Cape State Park, or a trip to the Virginia Aquarium, you’re sure to find it here.
Take a trip with a guide for a day of sport fishing in one of the best fishing areas in the Mid-Atlantic. Or go crabbing at First Landing State Park.
Artsy Entertainment
For some more refined entertainment... if you happen to be in the area when there is a performance at The Little Theater of Virginia Beach, you are in for a real treat.
There are lots of other theatrical, musical, and entertainment to be found.
And, if you’re in Virginia Beach during the summer months, you’ll find musicians performing on the street all along Atlantic Avenue in the evening.
RV Campgrounds In The Area:
Make your reservations as soon as you know you’ll be going there, because they fill up fast.
TIP: If you’re going to the beach during the summer months and your campground offers a shuttle service, take it, as parking is hard to find in the beach area.
With Norfolk, Williamsburg, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina just a short drive away, Virginia Beach is an excellent choice for your next RV roadtrip.
