The folks at Go Rving remind us that June is Great Outdoors Month:
This June offers a special occasion to hit the road in an RV. By proclamation of President George W. Bush, June is Great Outdoors Month. This is the 4th annual Great Outdoors Month celebration, proclaimed as a means to celebrate the rich blessings of America’s natural beauty and to highlight a commitment to protecting our environment so that we can leave our children and grandchildren a healthy and flourishing land for outdoor enjoyment. The Presidential proclamation states, ‘Through recreational activities such as fishing, skiing, biking, and nature watching, we can teach our young people about the wonders of our Nation’s landscapes. Experiencing our Nation’s natural splendor contributes to healthier lives for our citizens and a deeper appreciation for the great outdoors.’

Over the past several years, I've been involved with transporting RVs, renting RVs, and fulltime RVing (months at a time). I'm fortunate to have had a number of different RVs available to me to try out — which has enabled me to experience the nuances of RVing firsthand. When I'm not RVing, you can find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites).
